No, those samplers are lame!
It's way too basic and linear, no originality, just another Nightwish copycat...
And I prefered their previous Monicker! Epica was a way better name!

In fact, Pin-Up Went Down is an oxymoron, as you can see, based on glory, fame and glitters, and the fall of a "perfect creature". Like Marylin Monroe... I'll translate that explanation I once gave, to give you the "perfect" english meaning of that.

It's a shame I didn't got in the English section before writing down the questions for the Thrashocore interview, I would have saved the question for the band's name !
So there's is no other meaning that would involve a gorgeous creature going down on someone ... mmmh, nothing to blow there ?

Как вы думаете, что может получиться из проекта, созданного драммером безумных Carnival In Coal и певицей пафосно-готичных Penumbra? Правильно, тотальная креза, которая камня на камне не оставляет от общепринятных стилистических границ и ваших представлений о жанровой совместимости. Брутал и дискотека, готика и фанк, прогрессив и джаз, стеб... и еще раз стеб! Но не думайте, что на альбоме нет музыки - ее тут как раз даже очень много, так что наслаждение вы получите не отлько от оригинальности композиционных решений, но и от весьма цепляющихся мелодий.

You're right, this is total craziness, which destroys all stylistic borders and your conception of genres mixing. Brutal and disco, gothic and funk, progressive and jazz, and also... lots of kitsch! But do not think that there is no place for just music in this album - you can find much of it. So, enjoy both originality of composition and quite hitchy melodics.
